The Asilo de Molo, Inc. was formerly the Molo Asylum, Inc. and was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as a non-stock, non-profit corporation on September 13, 1993 with the aim to house and give necessary care to the poor elderly in and around Iloilo City. The organization has 25 regular staff members, 4 project-based staff, 13 volunteers and 9 members of the Board.
The organization operates a welfare agency for the elderly who are abandoned, neglected or exploited. Its social services include residential care for the elderly and community outreach for those elderly staying with relatives in the communities. Asilo de Molo is 1 of the 4 organizations offering the same services which are run by the Daughters of Charity.
Its sources of funds include the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office and the Senators’ spouses.
