 The buzz is getting louder and louder. Is Regine Velasquez set to be a Kapamilya?
ABS-CBN has been courting Regine Velasquez for the longest time, but to no avail. But it looks like the pipes have been unclogged. Rumors are spreading that the songbird is set to land in the Kapamilya grounds July of this year after her ground-breaking appearances on ABS-CBN primetime TV shows like – “The Buzz,” “Sharon” and soon on “Maalala Mo Kaya.” This will be Regine's second stint in the highly-acclaimed drama series, opposite Albert Martinez.
Ogie Alcasid, in his most recent interviews, already denied the rumored transfer and stated that they have projects lined up with GMA like their upcoming full-length animated movie, season 2 of the Fremantle franchise, "Celebrity Duets" and of course, their regular gig at SOP. Ogie confidently implied in his comments that Regine Velasquez cannot leave GMA especially that he is still there. But it looks like, the buck stops here for Regine. Up to this time, Regine Velasquez has not signed any contract with her home station and is now a freelancer.
According to our sources, Regine feels so left behind by the exposures the younger stars have been getting. And the best thing to do is to transfer to ABS-CBN where tons of projects have been lined up for her. Our buzzer told us that a musical variety show is waiting on the wings for the songbird, and a prime slot at ABS-CBN's Sunday musical variety show “ASAP '08.” And we heard that this standing offer is a multi-million deal! Now, isn’t that something hard to resist?
In The Buzz last sunday, Regine Velasquez revealed a lot of firsts with regards to her current relationship with Ogie Alcasid, Ogie's ex-wife Michelle Van Eimeren and their kids. Is she ready to have kids? Of course! But is she really pregnant now?
"Hindi pa. Pero I really want to, I really plan to. Pero kasi marami pa siyang kailangang i-settle on his part. Ok na naman ako ngayon, pero baka mas maging mahirap ang lahat. So aayusin muna niya lahat before having a family. I know my biological clock is ticking pero ine-enjoy ko naman siya e." Regine ecstaticaly replied.
Regine started joining singing competitions at an early age of 6. At 14, she entered the senior division of “Ang Bagong Kampeon” and became the first Grand Champion of the show. Click here to find more about Regine.
