Who would have thought that a mere act of snubbing could create a big controversy? Ruffa Gutierrez’s mom Annabelle Rama is on the rage against Lolit Solis concerning the alleged snubbing that involved Ruffa and Lolit’s talent Lani Mercado.
The snubbing, Ruffa Gutierrez said, on “The Buzz” last Sunday during her interview with Boy Abunda and Cristy Fermin happened when she crossed path with Lani Mercado during the birthday celebration of GMA-7 executive Wilma Galvante.
“Papasok kami ni Donita (Rose) at ng asawa niya sa loob ng birthday party, palabas naman si Senator Bong. So alam mo naman ako, forever Miss PR, 'Hi, hello'. So, siyempre kiss ako. 'Hello, senator. Hello, Lani.' Siyempre nakaganun yung lips ko (pouting), 'Hello'. Tapos sabay bigla akong tinalikuran." Ruffa narrated.
"She left my poor pouty lips in the air. Siyempre, napahiya naman ako diba? My God, inignore ako. She just turned around and left. Sabi ko, Donita, nakita mo yun? What did I do? Bakit niya ako tinalikuran?" she continued.
Ruffa can't seem to find the right reasons as to why Lani would snub her. Ruffa even mentioned Lani's generous support everytime they (Gutierrez family) would produce events or concerts, so she can't figure out what she did wrong to deserve such treatment?
Then Ruffa exclaimed: “Siguro, inisip ng mga intrigero na na-link sa akin si Bong like 25 years ago. My gosh! Let's all move on naman. May mga anak na ko. Panahon pa ni mahoma 'yon, diba?"
LOLIT’S REBOUND
As Lani’s manager, Lolit Solis reacted to Ruffa Gutierrez’s interview when she guested in Ogie Diaz’s radio show "Wow, Ang Showbiz," and threw a remark that made Annabelle Rama so furious.
"Hindi pa ba sapat na civil lang si Lani at kailangan talaga, makipagplastikan yung tao sa mga nalilink sa asawa niya? sa mga sumasabit-sabit na babae kay Bong? Day, sa totoo lang hindi si Lani ang nagpalaki ng isyung ito, sila! Kung hindi sila kumibo, hindi sila nag-react, deadma, diba? Nalaman ngayon ng mga tao na may nakaraan pala si Ruffa at Bong. Dati ba, may naisulat ba na naging sina Bong at Ruffa? Wala naman? Kaya si Lani, tahimik lang."
"Naku, pag nakita ko si Annabelle, sasabihin ko rin sa kanya na ang daming babae ang sumasabit-sabit kay Eddie (Gutierrez) noon, kaya pag tumatalak siya, naiintindihan siya ng mga tao dahil siya ang legal wife, diba?!" she ended.
ANNABELLE'S FURY.
Annabelle won't give up without a fight. In the effort to hear the other side of the story, Ogie Diaz called up Annabelle Rama for his radio morning program but all he got was a furious talking Annabelle saying, "Bakit mo tinitira ang mga anak ko?" paired with a couple of curses. Obviously, she begged off to be interviewed and instead, gave a warning to Lolit via her interview with TV Patrol.
"Unang-una, hindi kita uurungan, day! (refering to Lolit). Gusto mo mag-upakan tayo ngayon din, okay sa akin. Kaya daw maraming babaeng nalilink kay Bong kasi daw malaki daw ang "berdie". Ano'ng (curse) berdie yan. Huwag kang magkakamali sa akin ha. Hindi ako takot sa yo Lolit Solis!"
"In thirty years, magkaibigan tayo. Sinisira mo dahil lang sa isang Lani Mercado. Nanahimik si Ruffa, tapos ginaganoon mo, binabastos bastos mo. Tinawagan kita kahapon ha, sabi ko sa yo huwag mo nang palakihin ang isyu. Tapos iba na ang usapan ngayon? Ako ang kalabanin mo!" said the furious Annabelle.
