TV and movie actress Ara Mina, in our latest conversation with her at the set of her daytime teleserye "Prinsesa ng Banyera," confirmed that her younger sister Cristine Reyes will be transferring to ABS-CBN.
"Pirmahan na lang ng kontrata ang kulang. And I'll let you know when that's gonna be." Ara Mina said.
Cristine Reyes is a product of GMA-7's reality search StarStruck and has been with the Kapuso network since the start of her stint in show business. According to our sources her standing contract with GMA 7 has already expired. Although, it was stated in the document that GMA-7 has the option to renew the young actress as their artist. However, those options have been used already, so technically, Cristine Reyes is now a freelancer.
Sources told us that Cristine's contract signing with ABS-CBN will take place after the Holy Week. She is set to do a TV-remake of "Eva Fonda,16," originally played by Alma Moreno. We were also told that the Kapamilya network will groom her to be one of the regular hosts of ABS-CBN's noontime show "Wowowee" opposite rumored-boyfriend Willie Revillame. Plus, our showbiz tipster also told us that she will be part of Kapamilya's upcoming gag-situational comedy "Banana Split", still with Willie and young actresses Anne Curtis and Kristine Hermosa.
Meanwhile, Ara Mina shared the success of her self-produced movie "Ate" which she stars together with Cristine Reyes. Ara said, she even received reports and read write-ups on tabloids that their movie performed in the box office better than rival local movie "Half Blood Samurai" which features controversial young star Jennylyn Mercado.
