Last Sunday, April 20, TV and movie actress and endorser Angel Locsin celebrated her 23rd birthday in advance at ASAP '08, wherein rumored boyfriend Luis  Manzano surprised her in her own production number. All the while, Angel thought the she'll be doing the spot number with the dancers. Angel was wearing a sexy sparkling top paired with a flowy blue whooosh-me-away skirt. She indeed had "the time of her life," when after a couple of turns and liftings, Luis appeared from the back and finished the dance with her.
"Nagulat ako. Napansin niyo pagkatapos yung pagka-lift sa akin, eh nag-gaganoon talaga ako (demonstrating a move), kasi hindi ako dancer, e may stage fright talaga ako. Gusto ko talaga yung nasa likod lang ako... nag-aacting lang ako," reacts Angel.
At the backstage, Luis told a source that when she grabbed Angel's hands on-stage during the dance, he whispered to Angel, "Wag kang mag-aalala, nag-rehearse ako!" to assure the birthday girl that he knows the steps. It was a fun number, and we know that it wasn’t just Angel and Luis who had a great time, but the fans as well.
And since we got Angel's mom next to us, we asked for her reaction about the buzz that Luis is courting her daughter - especially after that sweet kiss at ASAP.
"Masaya ako. Biruin mo... idol ko naman kasi yung mommy niya noong bata ako. Lahat ng peilkula ni Vilma pinanood ko. Kung sakali mang nanliligaw si Luis kay 'Gel.. botong-boto ako. Si Luis naman napakatalinong bata, pogi.. wala namang parent na aayaw sa kanya dahil gentleman siya. Wa ako ma-sey kasi okay na okay siya!" replies the actress’ mom.
Meanwhile, Angel went to Good Shepherd Parish Church in Fairview, Quezon City where she continued her birthday celebration with hundreds of children from Payatas Area 6.
"Masaya. Sobrang saya ko ngayon. Hindi ko ipagpapalit sa kahit anong lugar, anong okasyon. iba yung happiness ko ngayon. Ito yung totoong kaligayahan talaga. Simple lang pero may katuturan," Angel expresses.
Friends Valerie Concepcion, Joross Gamboa and other talents of Angel's manager Becky Aguila, showed support for Angel and entertained the kids. Angel's mom, dad and other family members were also there to show their love for her.
