A Paradise for Golfers and Non-golfers alike
By Czarina Año

Everyone wants to have their own piece of paradise. For some, it may mean living in a great community…in a highland with a great view or in a place where you can easily do what you love most. Mine might be different from yours but in general a paradise is a retreat, an oasis of peace and a haven of bliss.

I recently discovered a paradise in Metro Sta. Rosa, Laguna. Developed by Cathay Land Inc., South Forbes is an integrated golf resort city that hosts a myriad of lifestyle options from living in a romantic villa to a resort-inspired mansion. It is also the first project ever that offers its investors and residents, free golf membership to the world-class, 18-hole South Forbes Golf and Country Club. Though South Forbes is primarily a golfer’s paradise, its residents and investors are not confined to that sport alone. There are numerous recreational and fitness activities to choose from such as swimming, basketball, tennis and even shopping.

You don’t have to be a golfer to see South Forbes as a paradise. Take cheerful South Forbes Bali Mansion owners Mr. Laurence and Mrs. Estela Groundwater who are non-golfers themselves as example.

They say, “It was love at first sight. We were just driving and we just spotted the Mediterranean Villas. First it was simply the entrance. It looked really nice. It was really inviting. And inside, just the way the houses were built. Then there’s a golf course attached to it making it a safe investment.”

South Forbes’ environment also gives off a relaxed vacation vibe. The elevation of the residential golf resort ranges from 200 to 250 meters above sea level, the weather is cool and it provides the residents magnificent views of Mt. Makiling and Laguna de Bay at its highest vantage points.

Aside from its champion location, another attractive thing about South Forbes is their high regard for the safety of its residents and its proximity to top schools, commercial centers, and technoparks in Metro Sta. Rosa.

“It seems friendly so far. We’ve met a few neighbors. The privacy’s really great. I think it will be really nice and quiet. This is also a better location. When you drive by Paseo de Santa Rosa, it’s quite nice when you go there for a pizza, Starbucks, then there’s Rustan’s supermarket. You have ATMs, everything is there and the night life is alright so you don’t need to drive far. And Tagaytay is just there- 15 minutes away.”

“South Forbes Golf City is breezy, spacious and clean with good security. You really feel safe. So if you want to buy a house here, go ahead,” Mr. Groundwater sums up.

So what would you do if you found a piece of paradise? Would you simply walk away or take action?
