Acing the Biggest Entrance Exam of Your Life:
The IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
By Romina Tobias

I’ve always had mixed feelings toward Filipinos who leave the country to seek “greener pastures”. Of course, I fully support them in their big decision to embark in an uncertain journey with the hopes of uplifting their personal and economical states, regardless of the huge trade-off that is, leaving their beloved motherland. On the flip side, I cannot help but feel saddened by such a loss…a feeling similar to that of losing a teammate to a rival…I guess I’m a big sucker for loyalty. But at the same time, I’m all for making those hard, life-changing sacrifices that will ultimately turn out for the best.

I’m not closing any doors either. I’d actually like to prepare myself for possible job opportunities to prove myself to the world (especially when so many of my friends and family have done it). What will make me a qualified candidate for a possible move? Passing the IELTS –the first step towards working, studying or migrating to countries like the US, Canada, and New Zealand. And to help me and the rest to take that leap is The Princeton Review Center –a training institution (for the English language) that assists its students into achieving the best test scores.

Dang de Sahagun of TPR says, “The Princeton Review which is headquartered in New York City was brought to the Philippines to provide first-class training and preparation for Filipinos. We want the students and professionals here to have a world-class review experience that only TPR can provide. At Princeton Review, 97% of our enrollees achieve their desired test scores because our center offers new and innovative approaches in preparing students to hurdle the different proficiency exams. Here’s the fact: the IELTS is definitely the first step to their dream and TPR will make sure that they will achieve it.” So to my fellow Filipinos: Dare to dream but more importantly, dare to take action. Time to hit the books!
