You know what they say…booze is to parties as blood is to humans. Shaken or stirred, these potent life-of- the-party libations sure can save a would-be sensational bash from premature extinction.

Playing party doctor, chemist, and performer at the coolest refreshments table there ever could be (guaranteed no amateurish, spiked punch bowls here), is Twisted Shaker –a mobile bar that caters to house parties and other happening shindigs around the metro. Established by JM Zozobrado, Kenneth Lo, Alvan Young and Paolo Matias, all graduates of BS-Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management at the College of St. Benilde (CSB-SHRIM), their mission is to slake every party-goer’s need for a good time and to stir-up the crowd for one hell of a night of entertainment.
JM Zozobrado, co-proprietor of Twisted Shaker says, “Our love and passion for being behind the bar and interacting with diverse kinds of people, gave us the inspiration to establish such a catering service. We took after our mentors from the Organization of Bar Professionals (OBP) (actually the original masterminds of this type of business concept as seen in their Flaming Olives Mobile Bar business). Twisted Shaker was put up on May of 2007 with us 4 original members plus Brent Tecson and Carlos Carancho. We are also currently recruiting more staff members, now focusing more on females who are willing to learn our tricks of the trade.”
Twisted Shaker follows standards comparable to 5-star hotels both locally and abroad. For the catering company, each of their clients is given VVVIP treatment while ensuring them their most exemplary service at the most reasonable prices. They are also currently co-presented by one of the world's leading Vodka brands (Absolut), Tequila brands (Sauza) and Bourbon brands (Jim Beam) that are in the market today. “We not only mix drinks, cocktails and shooters,” JM asserts. “We also provide guests with entertainment through our flair bartending. Flairing, as we call it, is more of a hobby and passion for us than it is a job. When we flair, we not only flip bottles and do unusual pouring techniques, we also make sure that both us, as bartenders, and the customers are having fun. What we always aim to do when we flair is to leave our customers/clients in awe after showcasing our talents to them.”
The company offers a list of packages to choose from depending on crowd size and assortment of shots and cocktails. “Our most popular party package, to date, is the free-for-all package. This is because we give our clients the freedom to choose what it is they want. Since we are in the service industry, we make sure that we do not impose but merely suggest to our clients what variety of drinks they should choose, especially since we have mastered all our concoctions and know what the most requested drinks are.” |
