Hablas Español?
Learning a New Language or Two at Bridge Language Center

By Romina Tobias

I studied Spanish pretty much from kindergarten to high school. I must admit though that I am not 100 percent fluent but I can carry basic conversations; and I know I’ll survive a trip to Madrid alone. It’s really fun learning a new language. It’s like discovering a not so secret code that only a few people can crack (unless you’re a walking language dictionary). It just opens up your small world to other cultures and makes you feel connected somehow.

So if you want to brush up on a new language, perhaps in preparation for your travels, to improve your business connections or simply to watch those Asian dramas without having to read subtitles, take a course at Bridge Language Center.

The Bridge Language Center offers language classes for everyone, ages three and upwards. Classes are kept small with beginner to advanced levels, taught by highly committed and qualified instructors. Teaching materials are made available in the institute for the students’ use and a proficiency certificate is issued upon successful completion of each level.

The institute is very diverse in its language course offerings: aside from Chinese (Cantonese, Fookien and Mandarin), there’s Korean, Japanese, Portuguese, German, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Greek and Filipino classes that are taught year round on a group basis. The Bridge Language Institution may also arrange private and semi-private instruction in over 50 additional foreign languages.

To complete the learning experience, group or private immersion programs (equivalent to Beginner and Intermediate classes in one 8 week, 240 hour session), and excursion trips are also included. Because what better way to practice than out in the real world, right? This helps students use their new language in real-life situations and improve their oral skills as they progress from one level to the next.

Explore new languages and explore the world. For more information, contact the Bridge Language Center here.
