Foot Options Sole & Soul Spa is like a secret place of bliss in an enclave of furniture boutiques inside a small building located along Nicanor St. (formerly Reposo) in Makati City. It may seem inappropriate but Foot Options has found a perfect spot amidst the array of interior design boutiques; the entire place is quiet and neat – a far cry from the busy mall environment.
Inside Foot Options, the dim lights, soft music and natural aroma of green tea welcomed me. The standard Xiamen-style foot massage, which comes with head, neck and hand massage was truly relaxing. Len, the therapist assigned to perform the “ritual” for me did a good job in rejuvenating my tired feet from the beginning (warm foot soak) up to the end (warm towel wrap). My favorite part though, was when she patiently rubbed down the sole of my feet, with her knuckle pressing on the reflex points.
Len also accommodated my queries and even enlightened me that Xiamen is not a kind of massage, but a provincial city in China that has quite a number of foot massage joints. Xiamen-style foot massage acquires the Chinese’s natural healing art. Indeed, I had my 60-minute of therapeutic bliss.
Entrepreneurs (including the owners of home shops in the plaza), corporate executives and expats comprise their loyal customers. Foot Options said, the spa is perfect for people looking for quality service and good ambiance at an affordable cost. True enough, the Xiamen-style massage I tried cost only P350. You can avail the same service at P50-off when you visit them on Mondays thru Saturdays from 11 am to 3pm.
