1. What are 88DB's Posting Guidelines?
All 88DB members are required to obey the Posting Guidelines. Failure to comply will result to suspension of posting authority and/or 88DB membership.
  • Content:

    All posts must NOT contain:
    • Foul, offensive, and inappropriate language
    • Pornographic materials including images, photos, graphics, videos, audios and other related media
    • Violence in forms of threat, harassment, discrimination, objectification, racism and other abusive acts
    • Illicit and unethical products and/or services
    • Copyrighted materials and intellectual properties
    • False and misleading information
    • Duplicate Ads: Content is too similar to an existing entry you have submitted previously.
    • Recruitment Ads: Recruitment Posts should be posted under "Jobs" category powered by JobsDB.com. For any enquiry, please contact JobsDB Customer Services at (+632) 914 8000.
  • Category

    Posts submitted under irrelevant categories will be removed from the listing. You can list an Ad Post under several categories as long as they are relevant and appropriate. Posts must not also be repeatedly submitted under the same sub category by the same user.
  • Post Title and Description

    The Post Title is important because it is the first thing that captures the viewer's attention. Moreover, it will be indexed first by our search engine when any user type keywords to search for ad posts. So, always make sure your Post Title is precise, relevant and interesting. Make it attractive to capture the viewer's attention at his or her first glance.

    Give the viewers clear, complete and concise information about your offer or want. Include photos and multimedia content. Images draw people's attention. Adding an image will greatly increase your chance of getting noticed as well as allowing others to get a better idea of what you are offering or looking for. Members who upload images to accompany their Posts tend to receive more replies than those who don't. There is a character limit of 100 for the Post Title and 5,000 for the Post Description.
  • Post Expiry Date

    "Post Expiry Date" is the date which you select to have your post removed. This is recommended for posts under events and seminars, which have specific dates. By default, there is no expiration date unless you have set one. However, we recommend you regularly update your post for it to remain active. Inactive posts will be deactivated.
  • Keyword Tags

    Though it is not mandatory for you to fill out the Post Specifics section, we strongly recommend you to do so. This is because the more information you fill in, the higher the chances your posts will be searched and seen by others. Please be as detailed and accurate as possible.

It's FREE. It costs you nothing to post your Posts on 88DB.

  • Step 1: Select Post Type (Offer or Want) & Category

1. About 88DB.com

1.1 What is 88DB.com?
88DB.com is a service portal that houses a database of products, services, companies and organizations. Freelance service providers, small-and-medium enterprises, large businesses and organizations can register as a member and advertise online.

2. Registration and Membership

2.1 How do I register and become a member?
You must register online using a valid email address to become a member. Registration in 88DB is absolutely free. Register here now!
2.2. How will I know if I'm already registered?
A welcome email message with a verification link will be sent to your registered email address. You will need to click on this link to complete your registration. This is to ensure that the email address which you have provided is valid and working. Once your email has been verified, you can login and start creating your Member Profile. We recommend you upload your personal image or organization logo as this is helpful in identifying you or your company. Without verification of your email address, you will not be able to login and enjoy the privileges of becoming an 88DB.com member.
2.3 What are the privileges of becoming a member? As a member of 88DB.com, you will be able to:
  • Advertise your products, services, company or organization online through ad posting
  • Communicate with other members. To contact other members, simply click on the "Contact Now" link on the Post Details page to bring up the "Contact Member" form. Login first if you are a member and then enter your message. Finally, click on the "Submit" button to send your message directly to the member.
  • Connect instantly with members and potential clients through chat facility using Yahoo Messenger and MSN. Click here to know how.
  • Share your opinion and exchange ideas with other members through Forum and Knowledge
  • Receive messages from other members and/or prospective customers. You will receive all comments and messages via your registered email address. You can also find the number of messages received in My88DB.
  • Send a particular Post to your friends by clicking on the "Email to Friend" link shown at the top of the Post. Enter your friends' names and email addresses, and click "Submit" to send.
2.4 I've registered with 88DB.com and provided a valid email address. However, I didn't receive an email message. Why is this so & what should I do?
If you are using a web-based email service such as Hotmail or Yahoo Mail, please ensure that the filters do not mark our emails as spam. Please check the "Junk E-Mail" or "Bulk" option.
2.5. Can I change my email address?
Yes, however, please note that your email address is your login ID. If you change it, a new email will be sent to you with a verification link and you will need to verify the new email address AGAIN.
2.6. How can I close my 88DB account?
Closing your account will PERMANENTLY REMOVE all of your information from 88DB including your Posts and member profile. This information cannot be restored. However, if you really want to close your account, send an email to cs@88DB.com.ph


3. Ad Posting

3.1. How do I post an ad?
Once your membership has been verified and accepted, you can now post an ad. Login to My88DB and follow the steps in posting an ad or click "POST FREE AD" button in the homepage. Make sure to select the appropriate category and sub-category. You can post up to 3 ads which must all be relevant to your selected categories and coherent with the posting guidelines below.
3.2. What should I do if I accidentally published a post under a wrong category?
If you inadvertently published a post in the wrong category, login to My88DB and select a new category or sub-category under "My Posts".
3.3 How do I edit/manage my Post after I have published it?
You can edit/manage your Posts at any time. Login to My88DB, and find the Edit Link under My Posts. You can edit, delete and repost your Ad, including the images and multimedia content. You can repost an Ad once a day and no more than a total of 5 times. You can also keep track the post and expiry dates, number of views and number of messages left by other members.
3.4 How do I know the status of my Post?
From the My Post section, you can find several status types that may be displayed in the Post Status column:
  1. Active. Post can be viewed by the general public and is showing up in the search results.
  2. Rejected. Post is not active. It has been deactivated because it does not comply with the 88DB Posting Guidelines. To republish the Post, please edit the content and resubmit. If your Post has been rejected you will receive an email explaining the reason why. 88DB reserves the right to investigate the IP address, Internet Service Provider, location and the identity of any offender.
  3. Expired. Post has been removed from public view automatically upon expiration. To reactivate your Post, simply repost it. You can repost up to five times. After which, you will need to submit a new Post if you want to keep it live.
  4. Inactive. Post cannot be viewed by the general public because you have not verified your email address. Once you have gone through the verification process, your Post status will instantly change to "Active".
3.5 How can I upload an image to my Post?
Uploading images can be easily done during the posting process. On the Post Details page, click on the Add/Change Images button to open a pop-up window with the upload function. In each post, you can upload up to 6 images. Images must be in any of the following formats: JPEG (.jpg or .jpeg) or GIF (.gif). Please keep the file size to 200KB or less.
3.6 How can I upload video/audio files to my Post?
We do not support or allow the hosting of audio / video files on our website.
We do however allow embedding audio / video html code as long as the physical files are hosted in other sites.
3.7 Why are my video/audio clips not showing up in Posts?
It is possible that your audio or video files may still be waiting for an approval or were rejected for some reasons. The video or audio file which you have uploaded will first be in the pending status called "Not Verified". Once reviewed by the administrator, the status will be changed to either "Verified" or "Rejected". When the file is rejected, you will receive a notification email explaining the reason for its rejection. Log into My88DB to check the status of your multimedia files.
3.8 What can I do about illegal or offensive Posts?
If you come across any illegal or offensive Post, report to us at report@88DB.com.ph. Alternatively, you can use the "Report Abuse" function located at the bottom of each Post. The information will automatically be forwarded to the administrator.

4.1 What is a Paid Ad?
Paid Ad is a value added service that enables your ad to stand out from the rest. 4.2. What are the different kinds of Paid Ad?
  • Priority List – Your ad shall appear on the first 7 slots of the first page of a specific category and will be highlighted.
  • Paid List – Your ad shall appear on the top spot of the second page of a specific category
4.3. What are the benefits of a Paid Ad?
Paid Ad provides better exposure to your business.
  • Its superior position gives your business the opportunity to get more page views, which could convert into sales.
  • Its bold text, larger thumbnail and background color makes your ad more attractive to customers.

4.4. How do I avail of Paid Ad plan?
Avail of a Paid Ad service by following these steps:
  • 1. Click on the “FREE Ad” button on the navigation bar
  • 2. Select Category, Sub-category & Post Type (Offer or Want) to create your Post
  • 3. Enter Post Details
    • Enter the Post Title and Description
    • Enhance your Post by uploading images and multimedia files
    • Provide further information in Post specifics
    • Enter your Contact Information to let others find you
    • Create your Map (If applicable)
    • Enter Keyword Tag
    • Preview and confirm your Post
  • 4. Select and purchase the Plan, then click on the “Confirm & Pay Online” button
  • 5. You can pay through the following payment options:
    • Paypal
    • SmartMoney
  • 6. When transaction is completed, your purchased Plan will be effective shortly. An order confirmation will be emailed to you soon.
4.5 How long is the extent of my Paid Ad plan?

Your Paid Ad plan will expire in accordance to your purchased plan. You can log into My88DB and click on “My Posts” to check the expiry date.

4.6. Is there any administrative charge for Paid Ad?


There is no administrative charge. 88DB will only charge you the exact listed price.

4.7. I have purchased a Paid Ad plan but my Post is not yet upgraded. Why is this so?

Please be patient as it might take some time for “Paid Ad” to be in effect. For enquiries, please contact our Customer Service Department at 91488DB

4.8. Why isn’t my payment for Paid Ad successful?

It is possible that your payment has failed for the following reasons:

  • You have not entered all required information
  • You have entered wrong information
  • Your credit card has expired
  • Your credit card limit has been exceeded

If the payment still fails after checking all the details, we suggest trying another credit card or contact the credit card company for assistance.

4.9. What should I do if my online payment has failed?

Go back to Pay Online page and re-enter the requested information to complete the transaction. For enquiries, please contact our Customer Service Department at 91488DB or cs@88DB.com.ph

4.10 Can I request for a refund after purchasing a Paid Ad plan?

No. In accordance to our Sales Policy, a refund would not be allowed after the transaction has been completed.

4.11. Can I terminate my Paid Ad prior to the Post expiry date and request a refund?

Deleting your post can stop showing your ad; however this does not mean that the contract has been terminated. Once the transaction has been completed, you can not ask for a refund. Your plan period will last until its expiry date. Note: Once you have deleted your Post, it could not be recovered even if your Plan period has not yet expired.

4.12 Can I change the category after launching my Paid Ad? No.

You are not allowed to change the category of the Post, as the price of “Priority Listing” plan varies by Category, Subcategory and plan period.

4.13 Will I receive any invoice after purchasing a Paid Ad plan?

You will receive an order confirmation email with the order details upon completion of the transaction. For enquiries, please contact our Customer Service Department at 91488DB or cs@88DB.com.ph.  


5. Technical Issues

5.1 Why can't I access all the site's functions?

It must be a browser issue. We recommend Microsoft's Internet Explorer 5.0 (and up) or FireFox 1.5 (and up) for best results. Earlier versions will not allow you to access all of the site's functionalities.

5.2 Where can I report bugs and errors?

To report bugs and errors, please email us at cs@88DB.com.ph. When submitting bug reports, it is helpful if you could send as much information as possible about your issue(s) and the URL of the webpage(s) where you found the problem(s).
