Try to actively participate on social networking sites and forums. It's the best and cheapest way of advertising it. You could also try giving comments to other peoples blog. In that way, you can built a network through interaction. Although for me, the best way is to post relevant, informative and useful blog posts. Users would definitely look for your site and not the other way around.
