Continuing education programs (CEP) remain an integral part of any profession from doctors, lawyers, and of course, real estate brokers. Urban Institute remains one of the best when it comes to quality CEP on real estate and come November they will begin a month long 12-day lecture series. What makes their lecture series unique is that each topic can be attended separately from each other. In other words, each topic "stands-alone"; you don't need to attend the lectures from day one to understand the lecture for day two or day three and so forth. You can attend all the lectures but it also won't be problematic to just choose the topics that interest you the most.

One caveat, however. Though the topics are designed to be stand-alone it's highly suggested that for people who want to take full advantage of the lectures that they attend the full series. Why? Each lecture paints a clear picture of the topic and at the end of the day, what you get is a clear picture. In order to fully appreciate and understand the entire tapestry of how these various topics merge and intertwine and integrate with one another you'll have to see it as a whole and thus you'll have to attend the full series. But whether participants take advantage of the whole series or just a select few topics that pique their curiosity or that they believe offers to increase their real estate know-how further, they will still receive corresponding CEP credits for the number of hours they put in. If they have a real estate broker's license that is up for renewal, then these CEP credits are vital for renewing their license.
